Hi all! For this week’s match report, we have a couple of guest journalists. Emily and Franzi have provided the below match report for your delectation (If anyone else would like to write one in future let me know on Wednesdays at training) Enjoy! -Brett

What a great game! Timperley welcomed Heaton Mersey on Sunday morning to our grounds for a greatly anticipated match. We have been close rivals year upon year although friendly with the team and couldn't have played better.
The first quarter started with a brilliantly executed Timperley goal to set the spirits high. We continued to score steady but strategic goals throughout and even though Mersey demonstrated a solid defence we powered through to keep our lead. The second quarter came, and the midfield rotation proved decisive. Everyone ran their socks off keeping Mersey on their toes and rested when they needed it. Morale at halftime was high and motivational.
When the second half began Mersey hit us back with new methods and a stronger more rested team, but we worked even harder to maintain our standard. We have to say, all team members support for one another was fantastic and very inspirational. We cheered each other on and didn’t get frustrated at one another for little mistakes. And in the final quarter although challenged once again even more, we were solid all over the pitch, playing fairly but strongly in a typical Timperley fashion. It was really a great game that showed off every one of us and the team we are.

MENTIONS:
Chloe played a stormer today, scoring a double hattrick (don’t have a word for that so were going to say a hattrickttrick)– well done to her! Emily pulled it out of the bag today also scoring a whopping 1556 goals. A special mention to Carys who was unavailable for today’s match however did not end up missing the team picture. Big up to her! The clears and saves by Katie were phenomenal!
Eva was tremendous, coming into our midline up and travelling with it down the pitch scoring 2 goals for our team and for the league. She’s really Pushing P today! Not to mention Henny’s support to everyone from the side-line continuous ‘LETS GO ….’ Was inspiring for all! (And she was a lion on the pitch! Catching all of those draws rawr!) Alyssa, well what can I say such a beauty to watch her work! The drives through attack gave us goosebumps they were amazeballs!
I loved Layli’s lovely levitation of the ball in mid when passing perfectly. She was as per a queen to watch. Moving on to holly, oh holly she jumped so high to catch many balls at least 50 ft off the ground. She caught saw and shot as I’m imagining many calculations going on through her head. Charlotte Sadler and Hattie McDermott closed down lots of ones on ones and helped slide to cover Emily when she ran up to mid. What one-of-a-kind gals ! xoxo
Esme was always ready for the shot constantly cutting like the superstar she has been, will be and is! Kit smashed in those goals as always scoring a hattrick plus one – we don’t have a word for that either so well say a hathattrick. Mati’s draws and ability to snatch the ball in mid was fandabbydosey and we loved it with a passion. Cara- oh yeah where to begin. She caught the balls yes, she did and ran till her legs fell off. And to save the best till last Emily Porter with her endless backups and good looks that will last a lifetime- gorg. Not to mention the also gorgeous Franzi Christian with that fab goal and draws.

Special thanks to all the parents and friends and famalamadingdong watching and cheering us on- much appreciated. Oh, and an extra well done to Chloe and Franzi who got player of the match.
