We're on a final push to raise funds towards the cost of replacing our 18 year old blue artificial sports pitch - work commenced on 1st July 2024 and is ahead of schedule ! It's done us proud and now its time for a big final fundraising push to contribute to the overall project cost of c.£400,000. Help raise the final £££ we need towards this next phase of developing our club and community facilities.

Our ATP's are used by all four of our sports: cricket; football; hockey and lacrosse - plus community users, local schools, universities, other sports clubs, the local and regional sports bodies. Our pitches make sport happen for thousands of people a year and hope that everyone who enjoyed sport on our pitches will make a Donation to contribute whether its a fiver or five hundred pounds. Every £ will make a difference and go even further if you're able to Gift Aid any donations too. CLICK HERE TO DONATE ONLINE

This 1st phase of improving the Blue Pitch (C£270,000) includes a new shock pad, turf and new spectator barrier. A 2nd phase of work is planned once planning permission is sorted for for new storage areas, additional spectator area, new fencing and hopefully LED floodlights (c £130,000). This forms part of our overall Club Development Programme called Project 18.

Who we are and all about our much loved Blue Pitch !

The blue pitch is used all year by all sports sections Timperley: Hockey; Football; Lacrosse and Cricket Clubs, our members, local sports clubs and groups, schools, the local community and the wider North West hockey and lacrosse communities too! What we now call the Blue Pitch was once of the first ATP's in the North back in the early 1980s and showing how forward looking TSC was back in the day - replaced in 1991 with no shock as we played tennis at the club then - and remembered by all as the bone shaker! - it was extended and replaced last in 2006, and now again in 2024!

Timperley Sports Club has been providing sport, recreation and a place to meet for local residents in the Timperley, Altrincham and the South Trafford area since 1877. As a (Charitable) Community Benefit Society (CBS) maintaining and developing our facilities for the use of members and the community is at the heart of why we exist.

With 1500 member and thousands of community users the club is a hive of activity throughout the year from our four sports sections (cricket, junior football, hockey and lacrosse), to a wide range of community classes and events to our Timperley Trundle weekly walking group. With two all weather sports pitches, two grass sports fields and large bar and clubhouse we offer a full range of facilities for our members, local groups and organisations, schools and host many family and local events.

As a Community Benefit Society we're owned and run by our members for the benefit of our members and the community. We offer thousands of hours of sport, health and well being activity all year to our members and the local community that generate a wide range of individual and community benefits delivered through thousands of hours of volunteer time. Our facilities are at the heart of what we do and replacing the blue pitch will ensure we can continue to provide sport for 52 weeks a year offering a range of activities to all ages and abilities.

Thank you in anticipation of for your support.

The contractors started work on 1st July 2024 and are making good progress, the old turf and shock has been removed, and new spectator barrier frame installed and after a good clean weather permitting the new shock pad will be 'poured' and laid this weekend.
There will be some disruption on site but all for a good cause - the Stockport Rd gate maybe shut for some of the weekend 6th / 7th July so please bare with us and use Wood Lane and be aware to avoid the construction area. Please walk or cycle to the club at the weekend or car share if you can as we have reduced parking for a short period.
